Hello! My name is Dr. Siefken (you can call me Dr. S), and I have been practicing clinical social work in Iowa, Illinois, and Colorado since 2020. I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist and have practiced massage since 2013. Somatic work is what has led me to the holistic approach I take with my clients. My clinical specialties include trauma work with a focus on alternative lifestyles, identity, and emergency responders. I have developed specialized workshops and retreats for professionals in the sex industry, emergency response, and women, with plans to expand this in the near future.
I work with people ages 18 and up on a variety of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, LGBTQ+, sexual issues, BDSM/kink, alternative lifestyles, and more! I use a variety of modalities in my clinical approach, including EMDR, IFS, DBT, CBT, and motivational interviewing. I also have training in Nutritional and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health Professionals. While I often discuss these aspects as part of the holistic approach I take, I am not a dietician, nutritionist, physical trainer, or medical doctor. * I include somatic work when appropriate, as well as breath work, guided imagery, and meditation. Every session is unique to the person and the need for the day, while keeping the goal of treatment in mind.
In 2026, I completed my Doctor of Social Work through the University of Kentucky (Lexington, KY), and both my Bachelor's (2019) and Master's (2020) of Social Work, graduating Summa Cum Laude, through Brescia University (Owensboro, KY). I have taught as an adjunct professor for the MSW program through Brescia's online program since 2023.
I have been married to my husband, Jared, for 17 years, and his career as a firefighter allowed me to work closely with emergency responders, as well as serve on the Critical Incident Stress (CISM) Team for 8 years before moving to Colorado. This team provides debriefings after the emergency responders have had a critical incident or traumatic call. Through the years, I have worked with several different entities and experienced many different employment opportunities, but my heart lies within mental health and helping people to heal holistically. Our physical bodies are a direct representation of what is happening inside mentally and emotionally, and I work closely with my clients using a variety of techniques to heal the wounds and work towards homeostasis within the body. *
If you have any more questions about me, please don't hesitate to ask! I will leave you with this last thought... "You Only Fail if You Never Try." We often fear trying new things because we might fail, but failing gives us room for opportunity! Never trying causes us to live in regret. So, whatever it is you are excited for in life, but too afraid to try... let's work together to try! Live your adventure, have fun, get excited for life! And if fear of failure, fear of judgment, or fear of vulnerability are getting in your way- or anxiety- call me. We can work through it, so you can live your best life! You deserve it!
*I am not a medical doctor, dietician, nutritionist, or physical trainer.

I will always listen to you. And sometimes we will laugh, and sometimes we will cry together. But your voice is always important, valuable, and you are worth being heard!
